Polis.ge guide · Living in Georgia
MEDI Standard, Classic or Premium: which plan fits your life in Georgia?
Compare MEDI by clinic access, doctor visits, tests and hospital care. A practical way to choose health insurance in Georgia, the country.
Match a plan to your priorities
| Your priority | What to compare |
|---|---|
| A personal doctor and tests at a convenient clinic | Standard: assigned clinic, referrals and outpatient benefits. |
| Appointments outside the partner network | Classic and Premium: approval procedure and non-network limits. |
| Hospital protection | Emergency, accident-related and planned hospital benefits separately. |
| Dental visits | Planned dentistry, partner clinics and discounts for separate treatments. |
Read a percentage together with its conditions
The current Polis.ge table lists 80% for Standard, 90% for Classic and 90% for Premium for the relevant planned outpatient benefit. These figures do not describe every service at every clinic. Referrals and clinic eligibility still matter.
Read across the entire row: the service, covered percentage, limit and notes. A strong benefit in one row does not change the terms of another.
Check your preferred clinic first
Choose your city and confirm the branch where your doctor works. Then compare plans for the services you actually need.
List two or three expected types of care.
Check referral rules and eligible clinics for each.
For planned treatment, confirm when that benefit starts and whether approval is needed.
Compare premiums and payment schedules over the same contract period.
Send a useful request for advice
For example: “I live in Batumi and want a personal doctor and specialist appointments at [clinic]. Please compare Standard and Classic for these services and explain how I book.”
For a family, include each person’s age and priorities. A single package name is not enough to assess everyone’s needs.
Common questions
Does Premium cover everything?
No. Each benefit has its own terms, limits and access procedure.
Is MEDI Premium the same as tourist Premium?
No. The tourist and MEDI product lines serve different needs. Matching names do not mean matching cover.
