The polis.ge website is operated by CAP Group LLC (identification number: 400465304) and provides information, intermediary and support services relating to insurance products and partner offers in Georgia.
By using the website, users undertake to comply with these Terms and Conditions. When placing an order, users confirm their acceptance through a separate action on the website.
1. General information
Polis.ge provides access to insurance policies issued by JSC Insurance Company GPI Holding (identification number: 204426674; hereinafter the Insurance Company). When arranging insurance, Polis.ge acts as an insurance agent under an agency agreement with the Insurance Company. The Insurance Company is responsible for insurance coverage and insurance claim payments.
Polis.ge is not an insurance company.
The platform enables users to:
- view insurance offers;
- submit an insurance application;
- purchase an insurance policy from the partner Insurance Company;
- access additional partner offers and services.
Insurance policies are issued in the Insurance Company's system on the basis of the application and information supplied by the user. Polis.ge arranges issuance and delivery of the policy to the user within the scope of its authority as an agent.
The scope of coverage, limits, exclusions, payment conditions and other provisions are determined by the insurance policy terms and the Insurance Company's rules.
These Terms and the relationship between the user and Polis.ge are governed by Georgian law. These Terms do not limit any user rights that cannot legally be restricted by contract.
2. Insurance products
Polis.ge acts as an information and intermediary platform between the user and the Insurance Company.
The insurance company named in the policy handles insured events, decides on claim payments and fulfils the obligations relating to insurance coverage.
Insurance terms vary depending on the selected product. Before payment, the user receives information about the insurer, the territory and period of insurance, the start of coverage, the sum insured, limits, any deductible, restrictions and exclusions, eligibility requirements for insured persons and the procedure for requesting insurance assistance. The full terms of the selected product are available on the Polis.ge website.
The description of an insurance product on the website may be abridged and must be consistent with the applicable insurance terms. The full scope of coverage, restrictions and procedure for obtaining insurance assistance are determined by the insurance policy and insurance terms.
In the event of discrepancies, the insurance policy terms and the insurance company's official rules take precedence.
3. Payments and refunds
The final order price and available payment methods are shown to the user before payment.
The terms of the selected insurance product are available to the user before payment. Once payment is confirmed and the necessary information is received, an insurance policy is issued and sent to the email address provided by the user.
The date and time when insurance coverage begins are determined by the policy and insurance terms. Receipt of payment or delivery of the policy to the user does not, by itself, mean that coverage has already started.
The conditions for policy cancellation and refunds, and the procedure for submitting a request, are set out in the Refund Policy published on the Polis.ge website.
4. Special offers
Polis.ge may provide special offers to users. The terms of such offers are published separately; these Terms and Conditions also apply unless the separate terms provide otherwise.
5. Limitation of liability
Polis.ge is not responsible for:
- decisions made by the insurance company;
- refusal of a claim payment;
- limitations on insurance coverage;
- the quality of partners' services;
- delays caused by third parties;
- technical failures beyond the platform's control.
These limitations do not release Polis.ge from liability for breach of its own obligations.
The Insurance Company provides insurance services under the insurance contract and the rules and conditions applicable to it.
6. User obligations
Users undertake to:
- provide accurate information when submitting an application;
- not use Polis.ge for unlawful purposes;
- not take any action that disrupts the website's operation.
If an error is found in a policy, the user should contact Polis.ge support. Whether the error can be corrected, the time frame and the procedure depend on the nature of the error and the insurance terms.
Polis.ge may restrict access to the website or refuse to process a new order where there are reasonable indications of fraud, knowingly false information or interference with the website's operation.
Restricting access does not, by itself, terminate previously issued insurance policies or Polis.ge's obligations in respect of paid orders.
7. Intellectual property
Rights to the website's design, interface, Polis.ge logo, original texts, graphic materials and software components belong to CAP Group LLC or the respective rights holders. Copying, adapting, distributing or using them to create other websites, software or services without the rights holder's permission is prohibited. Users may save insurance documents for personal use and to exercise their rights under the policy.
8. Privacy
Personal data is processed in accordance with the Privacy Policy published on the Polis.ge website. It describes the purposes and grounds for processing, data transfers and users' rights. Where processing requires the user's consent, it is requested separately before that processing begins.
9. Changes to the terms
The current version of these Terms and Conditions is published on polis.ge with the date of the last update and is available to the user whenever an application is submitted.
